Overview of Activities

To first two activties can be combined together or made into two separate lessons.

Activity 1: Photography - children to take pictures of their garden environments at their school and share on the collaborative Padlet Page.  

Activitiy 2:  Environmental Sounds - children to stop record the audio environemnt to capture the sounds.  Notes can be taken to assist identity the sounds.

Soundscape Part 1: When creating a soundscape, using PowerPoint, Canva, iMovie etc, the first slide/ 5 seconds will be one image.  You can create as many soundscapes as you wish as they will all be hosted online, however, only one soundscapes per school will be showcased at the exhibition.

Webinar 1: Cultural Garden Designs

The recording of the webinar introduces SOTW, key people invovled in project and some examples of how to teach photography and Environmental Sounds activities in Outdoor Learning.  

Lesson Plans to accompany suggested lessons.

These lesson plans can be adapted to suit the different ages, learning environments and time commitments of each school in the project.  They are supplementary materials to provide further teacher materials pertaining to each activity.
