To first two activities can be combined together or made into two separate lessons.
Activity 1: Photography - children to take pictures of their garden environments at their school and share on the collaborative Padlet Page. This activity focuses on outdoor photography with lesson ideas provided in the Lesson 1 Photography Lesson below.
Activity 2: Environmental Sounds - children to pause and listen to the environmental sounds in their gardens and note down what they hear. This activity focuses on hearing the different layers of sounds in their garden environments with lesson ideas provided in the Lesson 2 Environmental Sounds below.
The recording of the webinar introduces SOTW, key people involved in project and some examples of how to teach Photography and Environmental Sounds activities in Outdoor Learning.
These lesson plans can be adapted to suit the different ages, learning environments and time commitments of each school in the project. They are supplementary materials to provide further teacher materials pertaining to each activity.
