Activities to watch or join in.
The following activites are flexible in that you can simply watch and listen to what other schools have been doing and learn from them or you can participate at anytime during the the year. This project is about fitting in with what is happening in schools, which can be very busy, and about providing opprotunities to extend the activites to become what you and your class want them to be.
Music, art and Makaton signing connect schools together to enable them to use their own language and understand one another. Throughout the project, various songs will be used which pupils always enjoy taking part in. The first song is a simple Hello Song which can be completed at any time of the year.
From October to May, a different chilli challenge is released. You can take part each month or compelte the challenges at a time that suits. Click on the heading to see what challenges have been released this school year.
Signs of the month is a nice simple activity that allows schools to share the word and signs in their own lanaguage and listen to other schools around the world. Click on the title to find out more and take part.
The postcard project brings traditional postcards alive using QR codes to enable pupils to preserve their linguistic identities and develop an appreciation of different languages. Click on the heading to find out more.
This activiy runs monthly with children posting two pictures to represent their part of the world. Each month a different theme is shared to enable children to compare and contrast. Find our more by clicking on the heading.
